Construction on The Manor started yesterday, and it’s chaotic. I popped in on the way to Sasha’s last night, and there are holes everywhere. I cannot wait to share before-and-after pictures of everything, but it’s going to take awhile. We are re-wiring the house for lighting, knocking down walls to expand our closet space (he’s an angel, really), ripping up carpet for wood floors, removing popcorn from the ceiling, adding all new wood panels outside, putting in new cabinets/granite/doors/sinks/showers, building a new fireplace and custom bar, etc. It’s exhausting. My brain is at full capacity right now – but it is exciting too. I’ve added two pictures of our new closet (hard to tell what’s going on…) – my favorite room of the house!
Our pied-a-terre will be quite different looking in a few months!

I can tell that my jealousy regarding closet space will be immense. 🙂
You can come and live with us. Done and done.
I love this stage because of the opening up of possibility! So excited for you.
Thank you! Yes, there’s so much fun stuff to be done!
Is the house in Houston? I just told David that he must be a terrible friend to not know what is new with you. I am so thrilled and can’t wait to follow along. keep up with the blog. xo
Yes, it’s in Memorial! Well, I’m depressed that he jumped ship on me! How is it going in Dallas??

You guys are very inspiring. I have a home that is really just falling apart. I want to demolish it and rebuild. I think I am too afraid of the whole rebuild process. Your pictures are helping me start to see that I need to be a bit more brave though. Thanks!
