For the past four years, I’ve made an annual Shutterfly book that covered all travel and adventures for the year. I just finished my 2013 book yesterday, and it was extremely tough to keep it at 111 pages! I literally had to delete 6 pages in order to complete it. What an amazing year! We went to SF/Napa three times (more pictures here), Durango, Dunton Hot Springs, Boston, New York City, Miami, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Minneapolis, and Bali. We remodeled a house that became our home, got married and are now expecting a baby girl in 2014. I’m almost sure that fits the definition for ‘whirlwind.’

How was your 2013? What are you most looking forward to next year?

  1. what a year! love the shutterfly book! did you incorporate the graphics yourself, or is that part of the package? my sister makes Mac photo books every year for my parents, and it’s been on my list forever. just think of how you’ll limit it to 111 pages next year!

    • I like the Mac books too! iPhone is wonderful. I love Shutterfly so much – yes, the graphics were part of the package. The idea pages and embellishment options are endless. I am seriously in love with their books. And I know… there may need to be 2014 Part 1 and Part 2!!!

I found your blog from Pinterest–your top Houston restaurants article. I live a little east of Houston, so I pinned it for ideas on restaurants I have not tried! Congratulations on your baby girl! My husband and I have an almost two year old baby girl! Girls are such fun!

    • Hi Katrina, Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy the restaurants on the list – I grew up in Katy and we rarely ate in town, so they were nearly all new to me! Thank you so much for the kind note – I bet your little two year old is adorable. I’m excited to buy lots of girly things. xo
