Isla’s room is making progress, but there is still a ton of work to be done! I feel like this is a never-ending project, but I only have 15 more weeks left. We’ve bought or ordered most of the furniture, but are still waiting on the glider and ottoman, curtains, two lamps (here and here), baby mobile, and a ton of prints/frames for our bare walls. I need to pick a wall color (or wall paper!), create a gallery wall, and fill these massive bookshelves with books and baby stuff. The baby registry is almost complete though, thanks to help from Annie Dean’s list and other new mom friends of mine. I have to remind myself not to keep buying things or there won’t be anything left for my upcoming showers!
I’m sharing a few pictures of the nursery (in progress!). The ENTIRE room was once covered with pictures of the items taped to the floors and walls – as more and more items come in, more and more paper comes down! I cannot wait until June 4.
Two very bare bookshelves!
The crib (before the mattress arrived)
With the new mattress (poor lighting though!)
I cannot wait until the curtains arrive! Pictures of the lamps, curtains and wall paper are taped everywhere.
Where the gallery wall(s) and glider will be!
Update: The Baby & Child Manor Court Chandelier Floor Lamp is here!
Some of our items so far:
IKEA Hemnes Dresser (with Anthropologie Mercury Glass Melon Knob)
Pottery Barn Henley Rug (Ivory)
Land of Nod Simmon’s BeautySleep Mattress
Serena and Lily Mocha Trellis Crib Sheets, Bumper and Skirt
Anthropologie Constance Curtain Rod (not pictured)
Anthropologie Glass Melon Finials
Pottery Barn Cameron Tie Curtains (not pictured – arriving soon!)

Literally killing me with cuteness! I have been looking for a white dresser/console table/media chest/entertainment center for my third floor along with a desk to match my awesome new daybed. I am going to steal your IKEA hack!
You’re too sweet!! The Hemnes dresser is great quality – we both LOVE It. It’s my favorite IKEA piece!!!
oh my goodness, isla is gonna be one fabulous little lady! did you have to hide some price tags from sasha? ha! taping the pics to the walls is such a genius idea! i’ve never thought of that. and i really need to go ahead and buy that heart bowl because i’ve been drooling over it for quite some time now! can’t wait to see it all put together. you have such fantastic taste!
Ha, yes there has been some price tag hiding so far. I’m still working to convince him that this RH Baby and Child Elephant is a necessity: http://www.rhbabyandchild.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=rhbc_prod379453. I’m not getting much traction! Yes, you definitely need the heart bowl. I wonder if it’ll go on sale post-Valentine’s Day?? And thank you! You have amazing taste – I adore your house!!
Oh this is going to look so gorgeous! I can’t wait to see it all come together xx
Thank you very, very much Tamsyn!!! xo

Hi there!
I wonder if you might allow me to feature some of your baby’s nursery photos on my website, http://www.unique-baby-gear-ideas.com.
Let me know!
Oh…and if you could “like” Unique Baby Gear Ideas on Facebook and/or G+…well, that would be super!
Thanks,
Jan
Hi Jan,
Yes, you are welcome to feature some of the pictures, but please give credit to S&MT. I’ll happily like the site on Google + – unfortunately, I don’t have a Facebook account.
Thanks!

Love all the decorations. Where is the gold orgami star from?
Thank you so much, Christy! It is from Anthropologie!
