I love interior design, which you’ll know if you’ve been following along for awhile now. I am currently planning a nursery for our baby girl who will be born on June 4. We recently ordered our crib (Babyletto Mercer in all white) and bought the rug for the room (Pottery Barn Henley Rug in Ivory), so all that’s left is the rocking chair and ottoman. And, of course, the wall color. This is the biggest decision and I am so torn. I go back and forth between Rifle Paper Co. wall paper dreams, solid cream, gold wall paper, or gold and white painted stripes. I am very, very inspired by this last option, but I’m not sure this is the option we’ll go with. I’m sharing some of my favorite gold striped walls – what do you think? Appropriate for a baby room or too old? My main concern is having lots of frames hanging against the stripes and it seeming off balanced. Decisions, decisions!
This is my absolute favorite.

i am into stripes too. thinking maybe one wall – but also doing striped linens, so that may be a bit much. love the gold and the crib!
I think one wall is good – we also talked about that. oh striped linens!!! we have plantation shutters in the room, and sasha don’t want to do curtains with them! trying to decide if I push for those or the $400 elephant!! 😉
the elephant.
you’re totally getting the elephant.
do the shutters block sun well?
otherwise the answer is clear… baby needs sleep!
you’re a genius. it’s a necessity, right?
and good point! I need to go and check – it’s already a darkish room, but I think I could definitely make the argument. how’s your progress? i want to see pics!!!!!!
I like this! I might take note of this when my husband and I begin to decorate our future bedroom. 🙂
Ohh, I’m glad you like it! It would be perfect in an adult bedroom (i.e. I think I’m living vicariously through this little one in my stomach!).
This may sound really stupid, but I didn’t know you’re expecting! I must have lived under the rock for ages. Congratulations, Ailee!
Not at all! Thank you so much!!! xox
