I recently posted about my dream living rooms and have since moved onto kitchens. The next house we move into will likely be a tear-down and rebuild, as we are constantly looking for old homes in our neighborhood to buy and renovate (similar to what we did with our current house). I love the idea of having a blank canvas to work with, especially for the kitchen, as this is the room we spend most time in at home. I love white kitchens, with white cabinets and white countertops. Until recently, I’ve lusted for Carrera marble countertops, but my mom told me that people have issues with stains, as the marble soaks up liquids (especially wine). My parents opted for Taj Mahal countertops, as they are almost as white but do not absorb liquids. I also love the idea of a rustic wooden island in the kitchen with all white cabinets. We currently have white tiles in our kitchen, and it’s the first thing in the house I would change, as I constantly have to wash them.
I’m sharing a few of my inspirations below! Do you have a favorite style of kitchen?

We just redid our kitchen and I wanted that carrera marble as well! I went back and forth – but couldn’t take the risk. We settled on white Kashmir granite, which I actually love. I LOVE your inspiration photos!
We have white Kashmir granite in our house in Houston! I definitely cannot take the risk with Carrera either… we’re not that clean! I love my wine and have been knowing to get some on the countertops. xox
I am in love with white cabinetry, it’s a must have in a new home. Beautiful inspiration. Xx
I agree! Sasha says I like everything white and it’s boring but I claim it to be classic. Thank you!! xox
We are getting new countertops this fall – I also LOVE whites! We are going to use Quartz – did you know it is actually stronger than granite (since it has no veining it has no weak points), resists staining from liquid because it isn’t porous (as well as resists staining from heat), and certain manufacturers can install in large dimensions (10′ in length) with no seams! It is available in several shades of whites and also does not need to be re-sealed at any point. I’ve already got mental floor plans for our next home someday 🙂
Oh my goodness, it is quite obvious that you are into interior design and architecture! Kirby said your house is gorgeous!! I can tell from Elizabeth’s nursery that I would love it. I did not know any of those traits about quartz – perhaps that will be what we install next. I am ready for a renovation already!! Let me know when your carrier arrives! xoxo
I am! My major + minor in college was Architecture and Interior Design. The carrier came in yesterday! We have already tried it out, it is awesome! 🙂
LOVE all of these. we always seem to be on the same page stylewise!!
I agree – this doesn’t surprise me at all! I love everything you create!!
Bookmarking this for future reference! I’m excited to move in to our new place, and look into design inspirations.
