Today, I’ve asked one of my best friends, Amanda, to share a gift guide that she created! Amanda’s husband, Scott, is definitely a fashion-forward guy – he always looks very dapper (a perfect match for his very stylish wife!). You may remember Amanda and Scott from their wedding last year – I posted about it here and their shower here. Amanda is going to be starting a blog soon, and I cannot wait to share details about it.
So, without further adieu, here are some suggestions that Amanda (and Scott!) put together to help you shop for the fashion-forward guy in your life!
I am so excited that Ailee asked me to help with this gift guide, as she knows my husband, Scott, loves dressing to impress. I got his stamp of approval before publishing this list, and if he doesn’t already own the item, he now wants to.
For a more casual look, I would pair this festive flannel button-up with this cotton/cashmere pullover for some added warmth and these khaki chinos. I love that the pockets on the chinos are lined with cute patterned fabric, it just adds a little something extra! Scott owns this pair of pants in like 5 different colors. He prefers the Slim Fit, but they also come in Straight Fit and Tailored Fit. Stick this small leather wallet in your pocket, and you are good to go! Scott prefers using a small wallet over a money clip or larger wallet as it is very discreet and not at all bulgy.
For a dressier occasion, maybe church or a nice date night out on the town, Scott always wants to wear a blazer, and he owns and loves this one. To spice it up a bit, try adding a fun pocket square. Scott loves any excuse to wear a pocket square.
To accessorize both looks, these socks, shoes and sunglasses will really seal the deal. Can we just talk about patterned socks for a second? Do anyone else’s significant others ask for your sock input every morning before work? No, just mine? Scott LOVES crazy socks and has way too many pairs so he always wants to make sure he chooses the perfect pair for his outfit. Never a dull moment with that one! Regarding the shoes and sunglasses, Scott owns both and I think he looks so handsome when he wears them.
Any guy that cares enough about fashion, probably also cares about skincare and looking youthful. Therefore, I have included 5 of Scott’s favorite products to help him look younger than he is and to help his skin look great and feel super soft. The first item is this Art of Shaving kit that includes pre-shave gel, shaving cream, shaving brush and after-shave cream. Scott doesn’t currently have this, but he may in a little over a month if he remains on the “nice list” (I know he has been eyeing it). Next up is this Anthony for Men’s Vitamin C Facial Serum. Scott applies this every morning and every night before putting on moisturizer and it helps fight aging and wrinkles. Anthony for Men is a great company and for every product purchased, a portion of the sale goes to various non-profit organizations dedicated to finding a cure for Prostate Cancer. The third cosmetic item is this Revive eye rescue serum by Profile. I have bought this for both Scott and my brother-in-law, Jon, and they both swear by it. It reduces puffiness around the eyes almost instantly. “Profile” is Rob Lowe’s skincare line for men, and in case you didn’t know, Rob Lowe is 52 and is still insanely hot and looks to be about 15 years younger than he is, so I’ll trust just about any product he wants to sell us!
Finally, here are two products by Jack Black, this Jet Set traveler set that contains face wash, moisturizer and shaving cream and this body wash which I use in the shower as well (shh… don’t tell Scott). It smells so good!! My mom has bought the traveler set for Scott the last 2 years for Christmas, and I would bet she will again this year. I love Jack Black products because they don’t contain any parabens or sulfates which can be harmful to your health.
Last but not least, after a long day of shopping for or with your fashionable man, y’all may want to wind down with a cocktail in one of these adorable glasses. This set contains 4 glasses all etched with a different bow tie. Fun fact, on our wedding day, Scott gave each of his groomsmen one of these glasses and inside he put the actual bow tie that they were to wear for the night. Such a cute idea! We also own all 4 of these glasses at our home.
I could list many more items that I would recommend for the Fashion Forward Guy, but for now, I think these are the best of the best. Thanks for taking the time to read my post! I hope the men in your lives will love these items just as much as mine does.
Cheers, Amanda
