Georgie at 10 Months

Sweet Georgie Girl, just two months shy of her first birthday! I would tell you that this year has flown by, but last week (Thanksgiving) was the slowest week of my whole life! Emi had the flu, and we weren’t sure that the other girls didn’t, so we were on lockdown mode.

This past month, Georgie has firmly established, “Mumum” as her favorite word, which makes her my favorite. Kidding, but I do love the sound! It’s music to my ears. Ha.

Georgie now navigates all furniture very quickly, but doesn’t stand on her own without support. Her favorite hideout is under my desk. She pulls up on the chairs and is either laughing or pooping! Giggles or grunts to be expected. Her second favorite spot to spend time is the playhouse in our game room. She absolutely loves being on the inside and having me pop my head into the play windows, or to be on the outside and stick her head inside to “find” me. She adores peek-a-boo – it is a sure way to get her to laugh.

$100 Ellifox Giveaway

These girls love everything they own from The Beaufort Bonnet Company, so when Lauren from Ellifox reached out to do a giveaway and wanted to send three pairs of the their Party Animal Pajamas, it was a no brainer. Plus, her shop – Ellifox – has most beautifully curated collection of kids clothes, to which one lucky person will win a $100 gift certificate (enter here on Instagram).

Isla and Emilia both have a ton of hair, and they’ve been using Turbie Towels to help dry their hair after their baths for years now. Admittedly, it was Georgie’s first time, and I had to retie the towel approximately twenty-two times, but the giggles and post-bath-bed-twinning-dance-party was worth it. These photos make me so happy! I love them all three so much. Scroll down to see the girls in action, as well as my favorite twelve boys and girls items from Ellifox! These pieces are so beautiful – I want all of the beautiful girl items.

‘Most Loved’ in October

I still cannot believe it’s November. And still warm in Houston, ha. But that’s not too shocking. The month of October was one of the fastest of the year. It feels like we were celebrating my dad’s 60th birthday just last weekend, not a month ago. The girls have been seeing Christmas stuff pop up here and there and are already so excited.

I always love when people share their list of peoples’ favorites for the month (based on affiliate link analytics) – and thought I would see what the top items I had shared this month were. It’s a very random list, but I’m not surprised by anything because they are all great products that we absolutely love. There’s Isla’s pink bedroom rug, Georgie’s favorite sleep sack, a few of our favorite toys/gifts like this cash register and this play sink, and the girls’ daily multivitamins.

Georgie at 9 Months

Our sweet Georgie Girl is nine months old today, and before reading this post, I went back and read Emi’s and Isla’s nine month updates. It’s interesting to compare the three girls and what they were up to at nine months. Mostly, they’re at the same stage: crawling furiously, pulling themselves up to stand and inching around, eating any and everything they can get their hands on, and babbling constantly. However, Georgie is the only one to have started with Mamamama sounds (clearly the favorite!), and she’s the smallest of the girls at just 17 pounds (Isla was almost 20 pounds at this age). Georgie has two teeth, whereas Emi had none and Isla had just one.

Georgie melts our hearts with her smiles and commands attention with her new shrill happy scream she does regularly. This past month was not a good sleeping month for Miss G, as she had both her teeth come in, then had an ear infection, then a virus and severe diaper rash. I miss my good sleeper, ha! I’m praying she goes back to her good nights soon.

Georgie’s three favorite foods are beans, broccoli, and strawberries, but she is open to all different types and textures of food. She cannot avoid her evening bath, because after dinner, she is… well covered in dinner! Ha.

Two weeks ago, Georgie met her only great-grandparent – my Granny Jill (her GG). Georgie and Granny share a birthday on February 5, which is so special to me. She instantly took to her and her bracelets, and I loved watching them interact.

We absolutely adore our little book worm (she will sit completely mesmerized during her and her sister’s books at night). I can’t believe we’re three months away from her first birthday – sob!

Guest Bedroom Refresh with Serena & Lily

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Serena & Lily. The opinions and text are all mine. Thank you for supporting the brands my family loves!

When we were building our house, we had a great debate over how many bedrooms to have and whether or not Isla and Emilia would share a room. We ultimately decided to have them in separate rooms, and to dedicate our playroom as a guest room, since it has a closet, bathroom and a comfy pullout bed. However, the girls have recently started asking to sleep in the same room more and more often at night, and therefore, we’ve had them together in Isla’s room. This has been convenient because it allows for us to have a room for any guests that come to stay with us – most recently, my mom has offered to come and help for one night during the week while Sasha is traveling for work. It’s so nice to have her to help with dinner in the evenings and shuffling girls to their schools in the morning. Also, my best friend lives in Chicago and stays with us for a few nights when she comes back home to Houston.

Given that we’re having more and more guests come to stay, we decided to upgrade Emilia’s playful Pillowfort bedding to a beautiful French blue set from Serena & Lily, which is where we bought our master bedding from last year. I adore the quality of the sheets and duvet – they are truly so soft and luxurious. Serena & Lily is known for their best-in-class bedding, and the products live up to the reputation. The Cambria Quilt that we have on the bed is so well made, and I love the beautiful, vibrant blue color. We kept some of the fun elements of Emi’s room, like her pink ceiling, blue pom pom drapes and colorful lamp – she isn’t often in this room any more at night, but still claims it as her own and loves the new look of the space.
