The “fun-clinchers” at a wedding are undoubtedly alcohol and music. A great bar and band will get you far, as your guests will leave merry and exhausted from all of the dancing. Instead of having a plain bar setup, do something a little fancier. It doesn’t have to cost a ton, but by simply adding flowers, streamers, or frames, you can create a beautiful bar area that will have the guests coming back for more (and more) (and more).
The Art of Place Setting
Place setting is truly an art, one which the ladies of Sitting in a Tree have down to a T. They are California-based event planners, and I’m truly in love with every single one of their featured events.

It’s That Time of Year
It’s wedding season, y’all.
{s} and I have already gone to one wedding this spring and have three more lined up in the following months. Today’s post was inspired by gorgeous pictures posted recently by Taylor Lord, who is undoubtedly my favorite wedding photographer.
Happy Birthday, America!
July 4, 2012 will be my first Independence Day as an American citizen! So naturally, Sasha and I decided to throw a pool party. I’m so excited to spend quality time with our family and friends on this national holiday. Expect lots of poolside pics to come on July 5. I’ve been dreaming in red, white and blue the past few days, so wanted to share some of my favorite findings. Are you ready for some fireworks?

All Chalked Up
I love chalkboards. I wish I could write on them better! Can you imagine what Emily Poe’s (of Sparrow Nest Script) calligraphy would look like on chalk? If you are a fan of this style of art, check out Dana Tanamachi’s work. She is phenomenal. I also just found out that she did the album cover chalk art for one of my favorite artists, Christy Nockels.
