I Love Tulle

tulleskirts

It’s official: I have to get a tulle skirt. The perfect fall essential that can be dressed up to a party or dressed down to hang out with friends (see Blair’s layered chambray + checkered button-down combo). I’ve been seeing lots of tulle lately, and I decided that I need to bite the bullet and buy a skirt. I’m leaning towards the Free People About Girl Tutu (number two above). Are you a tulle fan?

Gallery Walls

I love gallery walls. Like, obsessed. One of the few things left to be done in the Manor is hanging stuff on the walls. For some reason, Sasha is afraid to make holes in the wall, so he’s pushed back on me about all of the prints I’ve wanted to hang. I’ve convinced him to do a gallery wall in one of the guest rooms, and I’ve laid everything out on the floor for another in the study. I’m still not sure it’s perfect yet, so decided to pull some inspiration. My favorites below! What are your thoughts on gallery walls?

Baby Shower Invites + Decor

mintedbabyshowerinvites

Often people pick a party theme, then search for the invitation. Stationery lovers may be inclined to reverse that process (i.e. I totally would). While babies aren’t on my brain personally, lots of Sasha’s friends either have kids or are ready to have them soon, so I’ve been on the lookout for good baby shower material. I found these gorgeous three shower invites on Minted, and decided to brainstorm decorations to complement the cards. BHLDN is the ultimate place for cake stands, vases, garlands, etc. Wedding planning is over, but party planning is ongoing!

A Growing Print Collection

prints

I officially move into The Manor when we get back from the wedding, and I cannot wait to take care of all the finishing touches so we can think about throwing a house warming party. I love photographs (obviously… or see title of this blog), so they are in frames all over the house. I’ve also been adding to our print collection – I’m going to have a gallery wall in the study and one of the guest rooms. Our prints come from Etsy, Furbish Studio, Minted, Wantful, Paper Source (wrapping paper!), and Rifle Paper Co. We have some others on our registry, and I’m sure I’ll continue to add to the collection over the next year as we finish hanging things on the bare walls. Where do you find your prints?

Rifle Paper Co. Hostess Gifts

hostessgifts2

Two of Mum’s friends threw me a wedding shower on Sunday, so I bought/made them little ‘thank you’ gifts. For my last shower, I went with a “Thanks a Latte” theme for the presents. However, for this shower, I was totally inspired by everything Rifle Paper Co, so I bought the Rosalie notepad and Gold Floral thank you card, which I paired with a muslin bag from Paper Source. I tied everything together with some of my favorite yard, added a monogram label (bought here) and added a gift card to one of our favorite (and local!) restaurants – Jonathan’s the Rub. I love this stuff so much!
