Glitter Guide is amazing, truly amazing. Every time I get on the site, I’m so inspired – this time by Liz Bachman’s (of Grey & Scout) home. Her taste is impeccable, and I love every single detail. My favorite setups are the bath and the desk – I cannot wait to decorate both of these spaces in The Manor. Aren’t these pictures incredible? Please add iMac, white and gold shelf, and gorgeous gold rim mirror to my wishlist!
Decorative Books
I have gone book crazy. Seriously though! In the past month, I have purchased nearly all of the books below. We have Domino: The Book of Decorating at the apartment, and I’ve read most of Design*Sponge at home – both are amazing. I’m so excited to flip through and read all of the others. Especially Nate Berkus’ The Things That Matter – can we please talk about how handsome he is?
PS The handwritten typography in the image are from vmac + cheese – she gave awesome free downloadable .pngs the other day here. I love them!

Little Decorative Details
I had another busy house-decorating-weekend filled with multiple trips to Target, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, West Elm and Anthroplogie. We had the Bluestone Console and Coffee Tables delivered on Saturday and bought chairs to go with the bench and Emmerson dining table that we ordered last week at West Elm. Lots of little decorative pieces were also purchased, and the new garage door was finally installed. The Manor will be completely finished on Wednesday, and we’re having a cleaning crew come in to scrub the place down on Thursday. I am so excited for all of the work to be done so that we can begin putting everything together. Almost there! Seems like ages ago that we were here.
PS Have you seen a Nest yet? It’s Sasha’s favorite little toy. Coolest thermostat ever.
1) Willoughy Dining Chair from West Elm, 2) Porter Leather Dining Chair from West Elm, 3) Jade King Shams and Mosaic King Pillowcases from Crate & Barrel, 4) Nest Thermostat, 5) Pottery Barn Malta Lantern, 6) Scroll Tile Runner Rug (2.5×9) from Pottery Barn
Adding to the Blogroll
I read the same blogs every night (or at least on the days when I don’t crash into my pillow!). I watch zero TV every week, so these sites are my entertainment and inspiration. I love to read the following:
Fashion
Atlantic Pacific: Could Blair be any cooler? The answer is no.
Gal Meets Glam: Beautiful photos, beautiful clothes, beautiful blogger. The trifecta.
Could I Have That?: Samantha reminds me of what Lindsey Lohan could have been. Sigh.
The Pink Peonies: A J. Crew lover’s eye-candy.
Karla’s Closet: I want Karla’s closet.
Lifestyle/Other
Cupcakes and Cashmere: Meeting Emily was such a cool moment. She’s my style hero.
Design Love Fest: I want to be this design-saavy so badly.
Sequins and Stripes: Liz might be the sweetest person I’ve never met.
Stripes and Sequins: Grace is so cool. I mean, so cool. And crafty to boot!
Buckets and Bunches: I’ve only met Chelsea once but I feel like we are still besties.
vmac + cheese: Victoria exudes style and grace.
A Piece of Toast blog: These girls! This is a must-read.
Oh So Beautiful Paper: For the stationary obsessed.
Fourth Lake: My best friend/MOH just gets it. And finds amazing pictures.
The Beauty Department: I want to learn all of these tricks.
In my yearning to be among the beauty of NYFW, I was scouring the IFB Conference site and saw the list of speakers, many of whom I hadn’t heard of before. I immediately went to their sites and am tickled – new blogs to follow? Yes, please. I’m obviously way behind, but if you haven’t looked at these, you should.
Bathroom Countertop Decor
I’m decorating one room at a time (in an attempt to stay sane!). I finally purchased the entryway and dining room furniture this weekend – which was exhausting as I ran between Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Anthropologie, West Elm, Z Gallerie, The Container Store, and IKEA (a nightmare). I decided to focus on the half and guest bathrooms (which look like this) first, so I purchased the following items (as inspired by Emily Schuman and Samantha Hutchinson). I still need to buy a cute little basket, but have lots of good coffee table books to use!1) Glass Melon Knobs from Anthopologie, 2) Voluspa Japonica Mini Candle from Anthropologie, 3) Barr-Co Soap Bar from Anthropologie, 4) Provence Perfume Bottles from Anthropologie, 5) Square Lacquer Tray from West Elm
