Chic Shelves

I love bookshelves. I’ve had them in my room every year since I was a baby, and I don’t plan on ever changing that. You can put picture frames, ornaments, books, jewelry, etc. on the shelves and they add such flair and uniqueness to a room. Now, if only I had half the number of books as {m}! I’m especially envious of her Coralie Bickford-Smith hardback classics

The City of Lights (and Color!)

I’ll admit it: I have a shopping problem. I love Anthro and J. Crew – a lot. Therefore, I have put myself on a shopping ban for at least three weeks. That means no frivolous purchases, like “ohmygosh – I totally need that floral Anthro skirt!” or “Twenty neon pens for only $40? Yes, please!” Unfortunately, my self-control started before I found Paris in Color, and now I’m sad. Because, truly, I feel like I need this…

I lived in Paris for the Summer of 2009, and I haven’t been back since the Summer of 2010. Oh how I miss the most magical city in the world!

More-Than-Just-Coffee Table

Those who are close to me know that I drink quite a bit of coffee. It’s not the caffeine I crave, it’s the warm, delicious beverage, stored in a bright ceramic cup, held tight in my hand while inhaling the rich aroma.

However, I went to a dietitian last week, and she told me what I have known (and ignored) for a long time: I drink far too much coffee (6 cups on average) and entirely too little water (3 cups max). Since my appointment, I have not had a sip of my dearly beloved coffee and have downed about 14 cups of water a day (seriously!). In a sad farewell to my coffee obsession, I thought that I should appropriately dedicate a post to coffee tables, which I find quite lovely. They can add so much flare to a room with the smallest touches. {m} has created the most beautiful display on ours! I’ll also note that I plan on writing/designing a coffee table book one day, just like Emily’s Cupcakes and Cashmere: The Book

The Heart of Every House

Wouldn’t you want to cook dinner every night if your kitchen looked like those below? Are they not beautiful? I love a very simple, white kitchen with lots of shelves/storage, stainless steel, and fresh flowers everywhere for a pop of color. {m} – my best friend – has the best floral taste – she always has gorgeous, bright flowers at apt. 335. She also found these little kitchen gems (surprise, surprise).

Dream Desk Space

Darling, build me the desk of my dreams (pretty please!).

It’s simple! All you really need is a plain, white wall, pops of color, cute little desk organizers, pictures/wall art, and a sweet MacBook (check!). I would be tickled pink to have this space, even if it was tucked away in a tiny closet. Everyone deserves a little “getaway” spot.
