Creative Baby Shower Invitations

I’m always scouring the internet for creative stationery – whether it be for a relevant life event or not. A baby shower invitation can inspire a birth announcement. A wedding save-the-date can easily become a Christmas card. A first birthday invitation You get the drill.

So although I’m not throwing any baby showers in the near future, I have been collecting some of my favorite designs recently and want to share them. I absolutely love all seven of these designs. They’re all very unique and range from brewery to literary tea party themes. I might be lying if I didn’t say the prince and gold polka dots weren’t my two favorites. Which do you like the most? Have you seen other cute ones? Pretty Floral Tea Party for Isla

I was totally spoiled by my sister and best friend this weekend – they threw me the most gorgeous tea party shower for little Miss Isla. It was held at our house, as many of our closest friends still had never seen the house since we re-did it last year (pictures here, here and here). I had such a great time talking to everyone – I love parties! McKenzie and Karine did such an incredible job planning and executing on their plans – how pretty is this floral tea party? The flowers are seriously to-die for. I want them to be in our house at all times!

In Full Bloom Baby Shower

I absolutely adore this ‘In Full Bloom’ baby shower from Hostess with the Mostest! It is completely over the top, but was planned by event planners (Double Take Event Styling), so what do you expect? The little pink and gold French touches are perfect, as are the florals, calligraphy and crafts – creating baby headbands? Too cute.

Creating a Baby Registry

The fact that I found the act of creating a wedding registry difficult is now laughable, as I stare choosing baby essentials in the eyes. It’s daunting, as you literally have no idea what you will need. If you read one book, it’s necessary to have X, Y, and Z, but according to another book, those items are all frivolous. As a minimalist (I seriously hate clutter), I will always lean towards the side of too little rather than too much. When I found NYC blogger Annie Dean’s “The Baby Essentials” post, I swooned. It’s exactly what I had been looking for. A concise list that states everything I do and do not need for Baby Petrovic. It’s an excellent read for all expecting mothers, and her recommended list of things to buy is extremely helpful. I know for a fact I will be referencing this while building our baby registry.
