Sweet Carolyna

I commented on my obsession with the Carolyna font in my ‘The Bare Necessities‘ post, but I wanted to share some more pictures of where the font has been popping up and hopefully you’ll begin to understand why I love it so much. As a typography-lover, it brings pure joy to my life.

Imagine my glee when I found out that now offers Carolyna font for their photo books and invitations. I literally squealed!

The City of Lights (and Color!)

I’ll admit it: I have a shopping problem. I love Anthro and J. Crew – a lot. Therefore, I have put myself on a shopping ban for at least three weeks. That means no frivolous purchases, like “ohmygosh – I totally need that floral Anthro skirt!” or “Twenty neon pens for only $40? Yes, please!” Unfortunately, my self-control started before I found Paris in Color, and now I’m sad. Because, truly, I feel like I need this…

I lived in Paris for the Summer of 2009, and I haven’t been back since the Summer of 2010. Oh how I miss the most magical city in the world!

Chandelier Splendor

{m} sent me a link to Oh How Charming, and I was captivated by the homepage alone. This distinct event planning studio has the most beautiful decorations – you need to check out their website. I would like to transplant myself into any one of the weddings listed on the left-hand side. A trip to Bali, anyone?

Anyways, the picture on the landing page has gorgeous chandeliers – a must-have for any event- chabby or chic.

Now, don’t even get me started on lanterns… there will be at least 10 posts on those!

Washington, DC Snapshots

I love DC. The preppy atmosphere, the beautiful buildings, the historical significance, and also the food. Let’s get real – that city has the greatest cuisine! During our 48 hours in the city, we checked off the following: Union Station, the White House, Zengo, W Hotel, Willard Hotel, Ted’s Bulletin, Smithsonian, National Monument, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Founding Farmers, the Pentagon, Arlington Cemetery, Rasika, Jefferson Monument, Busboys & Poets, Georgetown, and last, but not least, Pinkberry. See some of the highlights below!

I want to go back already!

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!

I’m genuinely sorry if this offends you, but my dad is the best dad in the world. You are free to disagree, but that’s truly what I think. I love {al} so much – he is truly my hero! I’m sorry that I am not at home for this special day, but I am sending my love from DC.

xoxo
