It’s a dream come true. I love, love, love gold leaf. Combine it with a beautiful shade of navy blue and some fantastic calligraphy (by Plurabelle), and you’ve got a fantastic wedding set. Featured on Oh So Beautiful Paper, designed by the bride herself!
Something Blue
I love the wedding tradition of “something borrowed, something blue.” Especially the blue part, because there is nothing I love more than a pop of blue (check out some of my jewelry for confirmation.) What about those suede turquoise platform pumps below? To die for.

Snack Bar Boxes
Snack bars at weddings are pretty standard issue nowadays. However, I normally see the goodies being shuffled onto plates or into little clear plastic bags. I was so pleased when I saw these cupcake-to-go boxes on The Sweetest Occassion. Isn’t that a great idea? I think that the yellow chevron tablecloth was the icing on the {cup}cake!
Unrelated to snack bar boxes, but amazing nonetheless: these confetti invites. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Welcome, Baby!
I’ve got babies on my mind (no, not like that). It’s just that everywhere I go, there are pregnant women. There really must be something in the water. Anyway, I saw the cutest baby announcement on Oh So Beautiful Paper, then did some digging and found other gems. I’m obsessed. Stationary really is my favorite thing ever. I wonder how baby Pierson (here and here) will be announced to the world.
Nautical Fall
I was in Austin last week, NYC over the weekend, and going to Chicago in a few days, yet I cannot shake this feeling of wanderlust. In my morning daydream state, I remembered one of my favorite Mark Twain quotes: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
I’m in a very nautical mood, which is appropriate given that I’d love to be spending my early fall months somewhere like the Hamptons or Nantucket. See inspiration below.
And last, but not least: Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls. You simply cannot do a nautical post without mentioning her.
