Unfortunately, I haven’t watched much of the Olympics yet. I’ve been traveling and working, both which do not lend themselves to TV time (we also don’t have a TV at our apartment). However, while in Miami airport on the way home from Antigua, the whole family + {m} watched the Opening Ceremony. Let’s just say, there were lots of teary eyes (my parents are true Brits). I wanted to do an Olympics themed post, but didn’t want to be cheesy. So what did I go for? Pure cheese. Below are the Olympic Rings, à la moi. They include some of my favorite things in life, i.e. beaches, flowers, dogs, spinach, and raspberries. What would your blue/yellow/black/green/red items be?
Baby & Child
{s} and I wandered through Restoration Hardware at Highland Village the other day, and it is mind-boggingly gorgeous. Click here to see a picture of the custom built store. We fell in love with a couch, and when we got home, looked it up to get excited all over again. On the site, we found our way to Baby & Child, and oh-my-word. Please see below. You’ll understand.

Forgiveness
Today, the Pastor at Bayou City Fellowship, where {s} and I go to church, preached on the importance of forgiveness. This act is not something I normally struggle with, but there have been some instances at work recently where my frustration has led to hardened feelings, and I realized this morning that I need to let go and forgive people. Click here to listen to the sermon – it’s an amazingly refreshing reminder about how much we need to learn to let go of transgressions against us. Enjoy!
Love is a Four Letter Word
I’m so very tickled.
One of {s} and my favorite songs is Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up,” and we just found out he’s coming to Houston (well, Woodlands, close enough), and we’re going! I saw him at La Fête de la Musique in Paris in 2009, and he is phenomenal. Needless to say, there will be a countdown going, and I will cry when he plays the song.
Plum Street Prints
My self-inflicted shopping ban just got a little more painful, after I followed a tweet from Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific to Plum Street Prints, where I discovered the most gorgeous iPhone covers ever. I mean, do you not think this is perfect for me? I did scratch up my current cover after a clumsy tumble on a recent run in Memorial Park, so perhaps this falls into the “Necessary Purchase” category. What do you think?
