Where do you live?
I live in Houston, Texas. I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland (where most of my relatives still live), and moved to Katy, Texas. I went to The University of Texas at Austin for college, then moved back to Houston after graduating. I love living here (read some of my Houston posts here), but Sasha and I are both open to moving anywhere! We love to travel – you can read about my bucket list here and my travel guides here.
Where did you meet your husband?
Sasha and I met while working for Accenture. We were both staffed on a project in Oklahoma City for an Oil & Gas client. He creepily/sneakily took a photo of me over his shoulder on my first day, and I reported back to my mom on the same day that I met someone who “was so hot that he made me nervous.” He proposed in October 2012 (engagement photos here), we got married on July 19, 2013 and have been living happily ever after ever since. Do you take your own photographs?
Yes! Most of the photos on the blog were taken by me. Those which weren’t are sourced back to the site where I found them. If you choose to use any of my photos, please give credit where credit is due!
What camera and lens do you use?
I use a Nikon D5000, and I used a variety of lenses. My favorite lens is a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras.
What program do you use for collages?
I mainly use Photoshop, but will sometimes use Illustrator, depending on what I am creating! If you are unfamiliar with these programs, I highly recommend taking the 101 courses with Nicole’s Classes.
Are you a vegan?
I have been a strict vegetarian since the 5th grade; however, I gave up all animal products (besides honey!) when my daughter, Isla, had an adverse reaction to me eating casein (in cow’s milk).
