I have the best best friend ever. I know, I know – everyone thinks that (but I’m right!). McKenzie, who is also my Maid of Honor, sent the most amazing Bachelorette Party invitations. I literally squealed when I received it. McKenzie and Bryan, her extremely talented boyfriend, designed them, and I think they are perfect. I cannot wait – one more week to go until Wine Weekend!
Our Invitation
At long last, I can reveal our invitations, as the majority of our guests have received them by now. If you’ve been reading Snapshots and My Thoughts for awhile now, you’ll know that I used Papellerie (formerly Atheneum Creative) to design the invitations and save-the-dates (ours is here). I honestly could not love them more.

Countdown: 78 Days
78 days until I become Mrs. Petrovic. 3 days until Karine becomes Mrs. Hollimon. Only one Semple girl will be left!
Isn’t that sign adorable? Find it here on Etsy. The Wedding March has been stuck in my head for hours. Cue “dun dun da-dun…” on repeat.
Thanks a Latte
Sasha’s sister, aunt and cousin threw me the best shower this Saturday. I had such a great time, and got so many Crate and Barrel packages I don’t know what to do with myself! I spent yesterday writing all 41 ‘thank you’ cards with my new Shutterfly stationery (best discounts ever). I wanted to do a themed hostess gift, and given my love of all things coffee, I decided to go with ‘Thanks a Latte.’ I had way too much fun putting these together! I cannot wait to come up with the next hostess gift. Images and links are below.
1) Thanks a Latte cards by A Paper Affaire, 2) Wooden gift boxes from Paper Source, 3) Designer Coaster Gold from Calypso St. Barth, 4) Monogrammed Mug from Anthropologie, 5) Celestial Coaster from Anthropologie, 6) Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company
Cupcake Decor
One of the first things that Sasha and I decided on was the fact we wouldn’t have a wedding cake, but would instead have vegan cupcakes. I haven’t eaten eggs in over 10 years, and so I avoid most desserts. We found the best vegan bakery in Oakland, Fat Bottom Bakery, that will be making all of the cupcakes for our wedding (see related post here). I’m meeting with Atheneum Creative today to review the invitation designs – I’m so stinking excited. I’m also going to ask them to help make signs for a variety of things at the wedding – the cupcake stand being one of them. I’ve compiled my five favorite options – how cute are those little individual signs? Have you seen any other creative displays before?
