Our Baby Girl

Sasha and I made a big announcement on Instagram yesterday – we’re having a baby girl! She is due on June 4, 2014. I’m 4 months and 2 days along now, and I feel good – I’m definitely glad to be through with the first trimester. All I can think about is baby clothes shopping and decorating the nursery. I’ve been scouring Land of Nod, Baby & Child, Hayneedle, and Pottery Barn Kids for cribs and furniture and being inspired by Taylor Sterling of The Glitter Guide (nursery posted here).

Her little shoes are Freshly Picked Moccasins – the first article of clothing I bought!

Annual Christmas Card Photos

Since our family moved to the States in 1997, we have taken Semple family pictures every single year. I love this tradition, and I’ll make sure that my own family continues it. I had the honor of being asked to take our good friends’ Christmas photo – I was so thrilled. We took the pictures in the Houston Arboretum at Memorial Park (I am obsessed!). I took about 400 and narrowed it down – my favorites are below. Isn’t “Mister P” precious? He’s 15 months old now – see his 6 month photos that I took here and him at the hospital here. I love this family.

The Perfect Nursery

I follow Taylor Sterling (founder of Glitter Guide) on Instagram, and I think she’s absolutely perfect. She has been posting pictures of different pieces of her nursery/office recently, but not until yesterday was the entire room revealed on GG. I literally have clicked through all of the pictures three times. I love them all so much. Every single detail is just as I would have dreamed – from the Rifle prints on the wall to the amazing Hayneedle furniture. Baby Elodie is going to have one stylish life. Pink Lemonade Party Invites

Leave it to Nole of Oh So Beautiful Paper to have the cutest invitations for Sophie’s First Birthday Party. Her daughter just had her first birthday party, and I love, love, love the invitations. They remind me of pink lemonade. The calligraphy, done by Meant To Be Calligraphy (who did ours!), is perfect. The decorations were beautiful as well. How cute is that gold sparkly crown??
